Muhammad Shaikh Born on October 6, 1952 in Karachi, Pakistan, is the founder and chairman of the International Islamic Propagation Center (IIPC), established in 1985. He is a distinguished Islamic preacher, whose deeply-researched lectures are based directly on the Quran, addressing topics through compiled Ayats across different Surahs in both English and Urdu.
Despite facing intense opposition—including a life-threatening assassination attempt in December 1986 that led him to dedicate his life to Islamic propagation upon surviving—he persevered and intensified his mission. In 2005, he suffered another attack yet survived and continued his work with renewed vigor.
A student of renowned scholar Ahmed Deedat, Muhammad Shaikh was selected in 1988 to attend comparative religion training at IPCI in Durban, South Africa—the only representative from Pakistan among 30 invitees.
In 2009, an online poll run by Reuters’ Faithworld ranked him the 4th most influential Muslim globally, based on over 1.8 million votes. He was later featured in the prestigious book series The 500 Most Influential Muslims as the only preacher to secure runner-up status outside the top 50—three consecutive years from 2010–2012.
Around 50 lecture topics in his signature series “What the Quran Says About…” have been delivered across English and Urdu, widely circulated via IIPC’s two dedicated 24/7 internet television channels and platforms worldwide.
